Summer Update

Anime Expo & LA Trip
Anime Expo just ended over a week ago. I bought items of course. The most notable purchase would be a Crunchyroll Backpack, which I am totally utilizing right now. Before that, I mostly shoppedh around in the Artist's Alley. A notable purchase from the Artist Alley would be the Croconana t-shirt. I bought little sheep hairclips from them a year prior. I also went to Kinokuniya in LA and bought Hirunaka no Ryuusei volume 9. They didn't have the tenth volume when I went there even though it should've been out already ]= Ah! And now that I remember it, I forgot to look for P to JK while I was there!! I knew I forgot about something...

Other than that, I had a good time eating 8D I even cosplayed at Super Bun from Oresama Teacher on Day 3 of Anime Expo.

Manga Purchasing/Selling
Now, I'm looking into more manga purchases to complete some series that I've been reading, such as Otomen (17 volumes) and Sweet Rein (3 volumes). I'm also VERY interested in buying the full manga set for W Juliet (14 volumes) on ebay. I think I found a good and cheap seller, so let's hope I get the deal closed =]

At the moment, I'm unsure, but I'm thinking of buying the full Yakitate!! Japan set (26 volumes). The price is very reasonable on ebay for the full set. A little over 5 dollars per volume, but I happen to live in California where there's a 9% tax on all online purchases. Lame!! If I want to buy, I should buy it while I'm still in Indiana with my relatives.

In the future, I'm thinking of purchasing the Bakuman box set (20 volumes?), because it would about the same price as if I bought all of the missing volumes at full price. Each volume would be about 5 dollars per volume at the discounted price at the moment. And of course California tax.

For many series, I'm seeing that more publishers are offering more box sets. So for many series, I'm waiting before I buy them in hopes of a box set =] It saves my time and money. It also works on my patience haha. This is a technique I use on series that I know have a definite end in Japan or is one of the long running shonen series that may or may not have a definite end. This is what I'm doing for Voice Over: Seiyu Academy, Nisekoi: False Love, and My Little Monster.

In light of the Bakuman situation, I will probably have to sell my old volumes online. This is a good opportunity to sell my extra The Magic Touch volume 3? I think.

Light Novel
I bought hand read my first translated light novel from Yen Press! I bought Sword Art Online. It was interesting and a pleasant read. I'll probably buy more as they come out. They are a nice, light read. Especially for the summer.

Non-Anime/Manga Related
Last month, I finally got my copy of the PJO/HOO fanzine! It's so cute and packed with full colored awesomeness.

This month, I've been reading The Chronicles of Narnia series. I'm also going to try reading The Seven Wonders series. It from an author who contributed to The 39 Clues series. I'm sure it'll be fun. I'll talk about these more (maybe) after I finish reading them.

Of course, I'm keeping up and trying to catch up on my daily Bible reading =D

Shiny Shiny Feels~

7 manga in total!! Lots of fun~

Narukou Skiikubu by Emi Fujino
Hirunaka no Ryuusei v6 by Mika Yamamori
Brave 10 S v3 by Kairi Shimotsuki
Toraware no Yajuutachi by Kiyoko Arai

Back covers!! Ohhh, scandalous, some of them~

Ootagawa Junjou Lovers by Akira Ozaki
P to JK by Maki Miyoshi
Saredo Itoshii Hibi by Aya Nakahara

Back covers!! These are super cute~<3 br="">

Should Have Treated You Better

Heh heh. I just love AJ's face in this album cover. So sweet and happy :'D Anyway, I love the song as well. Super catchy. Listen to it if you get the chance.

I also bought a bunch of May 7th Manga Releases!

• Strobe Edge 4 by Sakisaka Io
• Otomen 15 by Aya Kanno
• Bakuman 19 by youknowwho
• Pokemon Adventures 16 by youknowwho

By the way, all of these manga were bought at lower than cover price values online. Go ahead and check 'em out. It's pretty great =] You can also snag 'em on Amazon too if you'd prefer.
Fun!! I need a day to buy all my Japanese manga~

Marching Manga

Here's some recent stuff I bought lately =]

• Oresama Teacher 13
• Strobe Edge 3
• Bakuman 18
• Various Yotsuba&! volumes

YesAsia! Can't say no!

Phantom just released a new album a few days ago. I listening to two of the songs before I decided that I MUST HAVE THIS ALBUM. Let's get this straight, I am NOT a CD person. But Phantom and Monkey Majik can definitely take my money. SO in order to reach the $50 minimum purchase for free shipping and handling, I bought the rest of the volumes of Sukitte Iwaseru Houhou. It worked out pretty perfectly.

I would love to take pictures when I get my hands on them!!

I'm just waiting on my last volume of Shinigami to come in before I take some snapshots of all the English manga I bought this month =]

Oh yeah, did you know... VIZ is publishing Pokemon Adventures HEART GOLD SOUL SILVER this year!? It's SOOO awesome!! What an exciting year, I'm going to be very broke and very bad at money managing, I can see it coming -sigh-

Final Manga Binge Purchase Until AX 2013!

So I've decided that today I'm going to do my last manga binge purchase (from Amazon) until July. The only purchases I'll be making after this will be for Hirunaka no Ryuusei and stuff that's on sale in Barnes&Noble because I have gift cards to burn there P:

So I bought a total of 9 tanks...

• Strobe Edge Volume 2
• Oresama Teacher Volume 12
• Otomen Volume 14
• Bakuman Volumes 9-10
• Love * Com Volume 11
• Ballad of a Shinigami Volumes 1-3

Now I need to be patient and wait until Anime Expo and hope to fully update my Bakuman collection ^^ I'll probably buying Pokemon Adventure Boxsets from Barnes&Nobles because it's pretty cheap, but later xD I spent a lot of my birthday money on the above purchase, so... yeah!

This'll be a true test of patience...

What the Games!?

Like woah! Can I totally update my wishlist?? Haha. There are some really awesome sounding games that I totally want to get now. Like uhh... first of all, I totally want a PS Vita now. That way I can get my hands on, let's see, PERSONA 4: THE GOLDEN? Yes sir! And then there's this other game I just looked at that looks really cool... Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward. Plus there's a sort of pre-cursor game called 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors for the DS.

By the way, I also snagged the first 5 volumes of Penguin Revolution from BookOff. Sakura Tsukuba is one of my favorite authors, and I've only now decided that it would be a good idea to start buying her series :| ... Well, the company who published them before is out of business, so it's going to be hard to get a complete set (especially the last few volumes as usual). This means I'm going to start investing in The Land of the Blindfolded soon.

Save the Deadline!

Heeey! So I received Oresama Teacher volume 8, Bakuman volume 17 and Chocolat volume 8 omnibus last weekend ^__^ They look beautiful, but I only got a chance to read Oresama.

Oh yes and my long awaited package from Omari's Sister arrived, so now I've got The Day of Revolution! It was great re-reading the short series =] It just reminds me how much I adore Mikoto lol.

Anywho, I'm here to rant about scanna-lanna-lation~

Some Very Pretty Manga

Here are some pictures of manga that I have bought and have arrived this month =]
The first three pictures consist of the same manga shot from three different angles.

Oresama Teacher by Izumi Tsubaki (V.7, 10, 11)
Strobe Edge by Io Sakisaka (V.1)
Soul Eater NOT! by Atsushi Ohkubo (V.2)
Yotsuba&! by Kiyohiko Azuma (V.11)

In this picture, are the Japanese manga that I bought through Kuroneko's piggy-back service =] What you can see here are:

Love Com TWO by Aya Nakahara
Sukitte Iwaseru Houhou by Masami Nagata (V.2)

I also bought this wonderful tank from Sanseido in Mitsuwa Marketplace.

Hirunaka no Ryuusei by Mika Yamamori (V.4)

I think I also bought High School Debut volume 12, Love Com volume 10 and Chocolat (Manhwa) volume 6 this month as well... but I forgot to take a picture of them. Oh well, whatever~ I'll take a picture when I have the complete set :'D

Double Yen Press!

My copies of Soul Eater Not! 2 and Yotsuba&! 11 came in today, they are thick little buggers. I'm very excited 8D That's my treat for the day.

Have a happy time, guys!

Natsume is Awesome!

I'm reading Natsume's Book of Friends and I'm loving it so much more than I thought I would.
I'm really tempted to buy my own copies (but that's about the same as everything else I buy, so...)

I also have [re]read La Corda d'oro up to volume 15. So I'm just waiting to get ahold of my Library copy of volume 16 and finish off a lovely series =] I must say, I'm not a fan of the new Linden Hall Aria (or something similiar) spin off based on the extra story in the La Corda volumes. That oneshot was really messy for my tastes, too much happening.

And for November, I have without a doubt went on a shopping spree for manga. Especially because the first volume of Strobe Edge is out!! Plus my favorite character in Oresama Teacher makes his debut in the upcoming volumes :'D Hirunaka no Ryuusei also released just recently, so I'm eager to get my hands on that too!! Lots of manga to buy, I can't wait (but then again, I don't have much money either...) So I have to wait.

Anyway, I have a new phone, so I should be able to take pictures and make the blog prettier and more girly~

Some Beautiful Manga

I'd like to say first of all, I'm discovering some AWESOME new songs that's hard to---STOP GIRL, in the name of loooove~ Uhh... what? Haha, U-Kiss's new single "Stop Girl" is pretty FANtastic. Listen to it. I'm warming up to these boys, although it might be because of Kevin's sweet voice.

Anywho, I'm purchasing up a storm of manga again! What arrived in the mail this month were...

• The Magic Touch Volume 9
• Love * Com Volumes 12-14
• Oresama Teacher Volumes 1-4
• Soul Eater Not! Volume 1
• Otomen Volume 13

They're all VERY good stuff. And I actually should be expecting "The Day of Revolution" in my mailbox within a week ^^

I'm not going to talk about how Amazon trolled me badly (because it was partly due to my carelessness as well), but uhhh... yeah, I also bought some goodies from Omari's Sisters stuff sale :'D

I'm really happy about Oresama, guys...

Plus, there are some GOOD manga coming at me in the beginning of next month (not to mention an anime premiere of one of my treasured manga series!)

Pictures of July

Here we go~ I'm going to try to post more pictures of my bookshelf and stuff to make this blog a little more interesting.

Here are pictures of the all the manga I bought and received in July. (Oh, and ignore my clothes in the corner haha.)

I bought most of the volumes from two different BookOff's, my friend bought me a volume of "The Magic Touch" when we dropped by Barnes&Nobles, and I snagged Hirunak no Ryuusei from Sanseido as per usual.

I regret not buying that random volume of Sukitte Iwaseru Houhou when I visited Kinokuniya, but... that's in the past now... I can't change anything haha

And here's what my bookshelf looks like now that's it's been updated and reorganized into a JP and KR only bookshelf!

It features some of the things I got from Kuroneko of Omari's Sisters and the new Pokemon Conquest game =]

Fruits Basket is on loan to a friend of mine for now, so that's what that big gap in the middle is between Full Moon and Comic Party.

I hope to be able to review volumes or series every now and then on this blog. So yup! If there's any particular volume that you'd like to get reviewed, tell me and I'll do it as long as I have it.

Scannalanna and a-lotta manga

YEAH! FINAL STRETCH OF SUMMER VAY-CAY AND IT'S STILL MANGA BASED!!

Hehehe, I don't think I should be happy, but I am, but I'm not... but... YEAHHH!! (Is all I have to say about that)

I got to buy a lot of manga! I feel bad for dragging people around for me to do that though...
NEVERTHELESS, LET US NEVER REGRET!!

So here's my stash 8D

• Lots of High School Debut
• A couple of Love*Com
• A handful of The Magic Touch
• A small dose of Bakuman
• And the prized Hirunaka no Ryuusei (JP)

I accidentally bought, two of the same volumes of The Magic Touch, so that's a bit problematic... Ehhh...

I also bought Pokemon Conquest! I hope it's fun! Big money spending spree o____x

Mhmkay, and yeah! I've got lots of scanlation work too! I'm glad people are relying on me (not that I actually wanted more work...) Yeah, that's the part that makes me happy, but not too excited at the same time.

• SDS - Joint stuff! And whatever~!
• OS - Speed typesetting!
• EF - Lots of cleaning O:
• HH - Cleaning... and lots of cloning D':

Ohhh... scary...

Guess What Came in the Mail...

Oh man, why do I do this to myself? XD
I just... it just... everything just... happened...
And now... Man, I need to learn some Japanese, lol. Bought them online at YesAsia. Came faster than I expected.

M-M-Margaret~!

Someone just got their hands on February's issue of TheMargaret!!
It has TONS of oneshots in it, (over 1000 pages of it) and I LOOOOVE looking at it!!
Yup, LOOKING, since I can't read Japanese. BUUUUTSTILLWHATTHEHEY!? It makes me happy 8D Since it's an old issue, I bought it at BookOff for $4.50! I saw it last time, but I didn't buy it and I regretted it deeply... So since it was still there, I decided to make a home for it ^___^b

My lovely best friend who took me to BookOff, beforehand took me to Mitsuwa Supermarket, which had Sanseido Bookstore! SOOOO OF COURSE, I BOUGHT HIRUNAKA NO RYUUSEI VOLUME 2!! HOOOORAAAAY!! And it's SOOOOOOOOOOO awesome!! I love it (even though I can't read it) 8D<3

I'll take some picture and post them up when I get home-home 8D... One day.

The Mid of March

I just received 13th Boy Volume 10 by SangEun Lee today.
It's a really nice volume (but there's only 2 volumes left >:)
Just as I was about to go along with the plot twist, I've been turned back to original path.
Oh man, and do I feel anxious! Haha =D Really, these kind of things, you just have to enjoy!

I also have Shin Megami Tenshi's Devil Survivor 2 coming in the mail, should arrive when the weekend is over. So... yup! I bought this guy at the full $30. Too be honest, I don't buy games very much anymore, and when I do, I invest, BIG TIME. Why do I bust out the big cash so rashly??? Haha, oh well, maybe because I can't wait any longer to find it cheaper. However I'm fairly frugal with comics, haha xD

50% Off Kid's Books Sale!?

So B&N had a 50% off kid's books sales, and that was the push that got me to buy POKEMON ADVENTURES!!
I'm buying the Platinum/Diamond/Pearl Arc first, and I'll buy the rest next time there's a fantastic sale (or bundle deal) But I'm on a little strike against the first few arcs of the series because they did some alteration jobs on it PLUS they're not planning on translating my FAVORITE arc, the Ruby/Sapphire chapter. Which, I think all PokeSpe fan around the world agree, was one of the best (and they were all pretty freakin' fantastic.)

Bought the first five volumes of the PDP Arc (the fifth is a PreOrder) and uhh... within 3 days, they're now on my bookshelf =] (+4 manga to the count) $4 per volume, no shipping and handling costs. BRILLIANT. I quite adore my B&N membership.

Renewed Membership

I just renewed my Barnes and Noble membership last week. And I dare say, it's freaking fantastic enough for me to pay for it myself ;] Only $25, I SAVE so much with it (especially on shipping&handling)

Not only that, I snagged myself Otomen Volume 11, BRAND SPANKIN' NEW for about $5. SUH-WEET COUPONS OF HOLY MATRIMONY----YESS!!! >:'D It has arrived at my doorstep and it is aweesoome.

PLUUS. A little tidbit for B&N manga lovers. Check out your favorite series and take a gander at the upcoming unreleased volumes. Preorders tend to have some nice discounts attached to them. For example, I was looking at some of my lower priority manga Oresama Teacher and Bakuman. And I noticed volume 9 and 12 respectively were only $5.67 EACH. Okay, that sounds great, but you gotta understand... VIZ doesn't put discounts on their manga for ANYTHING. They have a nice flat rate with all their manga: $9.99 and that doesn't change, ANYWHERE. Other publishers have tons of discounts, but that's because their manga have higher cover prices, so... It's PRETTY fantastic.

Sure, I have to wait until summer before I get them, but they're cheap NOW and I'm gonna buy them eventually. I sure do love my manga to be less than $6~ 8D
